The USC jazz band warms up Pier Ave. Plaza Wednesday last evening, as part of the weekly jazz series. Next week, Wednesday May 17, the Hermosa Beach Jazz All Stars alumni will perform at at Sangria, on Pier Plaza. Trumpet player Conti Candoli, keyboard player Gerald Wiggins and special guest bass player Howard Rumsey are scheduled to appear. Tickets, including dinner are $25. For reservations call 937-4693
