Barfly

Mike Cairncross of San Diego and his llama, Black Pearl received a mixed welcome when they stopped in Hermosa Beach Tuesday afternoon. First, police ticketed Cairncross for "pasturing a domestic animal in a public space". Sympathetic guests at Sunrise Assisted Living invited them to rest in their yard, but rescinded the invitation when the llama began lunching on the guests' flower garden.
In downtown Hermosa the two were warmly welcomed. Fortunately, llamas don't like Christmas trees.
