Shadow Government

Hermosa Councilman John Bowler received the city’s rotating mayoralty on Tuesday, taking the gavel from Councilman JR Reviczky. Bowler said he hopes to help upgrade Hermosa’s "e-government" capabilities, and highlighted the possibility of a special bike path along the Strand. He will serve as mayor for nine and-a-half months before giving way to Councilwoman Kathy Dunbabin. Photo by Robb Fulcher
