School safety

Superintendents of the three beach cities school will address campus safety and violence issues at the annual meeting of the three beach cities’ coordinating coufncils from 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 27 at the Kiwanis Hall, located along on the eastern side of Valley Park along Valley Drive. The coordinating councils are made up of community leaders and frequently focus upon issues involving kids.

The public is invited to attend. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. and costs $12. Lunch reservations can be made by calling Cathy McCurdy at 374-4072.

Walk for life

The Pregnancy Help Center serves women in need by providing free pregnancy tests, free prenatal care and doctor visits, and more. The center is holding its annual Walk for Life fundraiser today. Sea Hawk Saturday

Festival 2001

The Riviera Village Association is hosting its 21st annual Festival 2001 today and tomorrow, Sunday, April 29 at Catalina and Avenue I in Redondo Beach. There are over 200 booths of fine arts and crafts, music on two stages, a kiddie area, and an international food pavilion. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. 781-2020.
