Sandpipers Awards Memorial Scholarships To Local Students

Sinsabaugh, a journalist and English teacher for Redondo Union High for 30 years, was also the founder of the Sandpipers Scholarship program and one of Sandpipers’ earliest members. Sherryl Robinson, founder of Robinson Travel in Manhattan Beach, was Sandpiper of the Year in 1998 as well as a Sandpipers member for 25 years. Dr. Spiros H. Mikelatos was a Mira Costa High School Graduate before he studied medicine at UCLA. He later became a physician in the Air Force and now lives in Manhattan Beach.
